Ronald P. Johnson is a Partner in the law firm of Johnson, Peddrick & McDonald, PLLC, in Greensboro, North Carolina. His practice focuses in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Business Law and Non-Profit Corporations. He has practiced law in Greensboro, North Carolina since 1974. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law and has been certified since 1987.

He served on the Board of Directors of the Greensboro Estate Planning Council from 1995 through 2004 and served as its President for the year 2002-2003. He is a member of the Greensboro Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, American Bar Association and is a member of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section of the Bar Associations.
He has been extremely active in civic affairs, serving on numerous Community Boards. He served on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro from 2001 through 2007 and was a member of the Executive Committee of that Board and Chair of the Professional Advisors Committee for 2004-2007. He was a founder of Women’s Aide: Services for Abused Women, now a part of Family Services of the Piedmont and is past President of the Board of Directors of Family and Children Services of Greensboro, predecessor to Family Services of the Piedmont. He served on the Board of Directors of the Triad Health Project from 1988 through 2005 and is a past President of the Board of Directors of that organization. He was a founder of the Guilford Green Foundation and served on its Board of Directors for numerous years. He also has been active in the Arts community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for Triad Stage. He is also currently serving on the Board of Directors of Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro. He has also been active with the Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro, serving as its Chef Chair for its signature fundraiser, Men Can Cook for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. In 1986, he was the recipient of the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service. In 1995, Family and Children's Service of Greensboro awarded him the James T. Isler Friend of Family and Chilren's Service Award for outstanding contribution to that agency. Triad Health Project has honored him on several occasions, in 1995 with their Founder's Award, in 1997 with the Mrs. Leon Award for his leadership with the Winter Walks for AIDS and in 2007 and again in 2011 by naming him honorary chair of Winter Walk for AIDS. The Greensboro Bar Association honored him in 2004 for “Outstanding Pro-Bono Service.” In 2005, the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro awarded him the Thornton Brooks Leadership Award for outstanding leadership in the community.
